Col Gen Vladimir V. Chirkin, C-in-C Russia called on Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani at General HeadQuarters, Rawalpindi, today.
The two discussed matters of mutual interest with emphasis on improving defence cooperation between Russia and Pakistan especially Army to Army relations.
Overall security situation in the region was also deliberated.
General Chirkin also attended a wreath laying ceremony at Shuhada Monument and was presented a guard of honour by a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army.
