Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif visited flood affected areas of Chitral today. COAS was given detailed briefing by the local military commanders on rescue and relief efforts by Pakistan Army, FWO and Frontier Corps. COAS spent some time with flood affectees and assured them continuation of relief activities by Army till situation is fully restored. COAS directed FWO to keep the communication infrastructure of Chitral with rest of the country open. COAS also lauded the tireless efforts of FWO, FC KPK, Army troops and Army Aviation, who are working round the clock in rescue and relief operations.
